Made in the seaside village of Vallauris but found in Paris. Vallauris is known as the “French capital for pottery and ceramics.” Located between Cannes and Antibes and famous for being the home to many artists including Picasso. This piece is unique and perfect for the kitchen, bathroom, bedside table, or anywhere ritual meets function.
Jean-Claude Malarmey (1932-1992) was a French studio potter who was part of a community of artists in Vallauris, France. He opened his own workshop in the late 1950s. His work is wheel thrown and hand painted. Mid-century modern with organic restraint.
